Soybean meal exports expected to grow 60% in February

Brazilian soybean exports are expected to reach 7.3 million tonnes in February, according to a weekly survey by the National Association of Grain Exporters (Anec).
In the same month last year, shipments stood at 7.547 million tonnes. In January of this year, the country shipped 2.326 million tonnes, a record volume for the period.
The chart below shows Brazilian soy exports, including soybean grains and soy meal, from January 2019 to Dec 2023. The data is from DataLiner.

In the week ending on February 10th, Brazil sent abroad 2.182 million tonnes. For the period between January 11th and February 17th, Anec forecasts the shipment of 2.943 million tonnes.
In the same month last year, the total exported was 1.276 million tonnes. Thus, the expected growth between one year and another is 60.9%.
In January, it was 1.757 million tonnes. Last week, exports totaled 465.500 thousand tonnes and the forecast for this week is 638.964 thousand tonnes.
