Stellantis is expanding its global presence with the start of Jeep Commander exports to key Middle Eastern markets, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain. By the end of 2025, more than 500 units will be shipped to the region’s main ports.
The move represents a strategic step in consolidating the company’s international footprint.“The expansion of Jeep Commander exports to the Middle East demonstrates the strength of a product developed in Brazil and its competitiveness in highly demanding markets. The model symbolizes the innovation capacity and technological development of Stellantis’ Brazilian engineering, which continues to lead the automotive sector, connecting sophistication, versatility, and technology to different audiences around the world,” said Matias Merino, Vice President of Supply Chain for South America.
Made in Pernambuco
Since its launch, the Jeep Commander has established itself as a standout product both inside and outside Brazil. The model has already accumulated 7,958 units exported to 14 Latin American countries, including Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Uruguay.
In the Brazilian market, the Jeep Commander has been the leader among seven-seat SUVs since its introduction in 2021, with sales exceeding 70,000 units in the country. Produced at the Goiana Automotive Hub in Pernambuco, the model is the first seven-seat Jeep utility vehicle fully developed and manufactured in Brazil.
Recognized for its sophisticated design, premium finish, and spacious interior, the Commander stands out for the versatility of its three turbo engine options—flex-fuel, diesel, and gasoline—as well as its advanced onboard technology. All versions come equipped with Brazil’s most complete Level 2 ADAS package, including adaptive cruise control, collision warning with automatic braking, fatigue detection, speed sign recognition, and other driver-assistance features.
Economic Impact
The success of the Commander also reflects Stellantis’ positive economic impact in Pernambuco. The Vehicle Hub at the Port of Suape has reported strong results: in 2024, 80,057 vehicles were handled, 77% of them manufactured at the Goiana plant. In the first half of 2025, more than 39,000 units produced by Stellantis in Goiana (PE) and Betim (MG) were exported through the logistics complex.
In July alone, Stellantis shipped 14,500 vehicles manufactured in Brazil, underscoring the competitiveness of Stellantis’ industrial operations in South America.
