The Eldorado Brasil Logística (EBLog) terminal, from Eldorado Celulose, at the Port of Santos, has received ISPS Code certification (International Ship and Port Facility Security Code) — the International Code for the Security of Ships and Port Facilities, established by the International Maritime Organization (IMO). The document confirms that the terminal is in compliance with the highest international requirements for port security.
The code defines global standards that all ships and port terminals in international trade areas must follow, as is the case of the Port of Santos. The goal is to prevent any type of interference that could compromise maritime security. The recognition was achieved after a rigorous process, with stages such as the security assessment of the terminal facility and the creation and implementation of the Port Facility Security Plan, among other criteria.
For the Logistics Director of EBLog, Flavio da Rocha Costa, the result is the outcome of the integration and dedication of the entire team. “This certification is a victory that we owe to our daily discipline, willingness and alignment. EBLog is one of the first terminals in the sector in Brazil to receive this certificate, and this demonstrates our ability to operate with efficiency, responsibility and full compliance with international standards,” Costa highlights.
With the certification, EBLog — already considered one of the most modern terminals in the world — positions itself as one of the safest at the Port of Santos, contributing to the strengthening of Eldorado Brasil’s sustainable and integrated logistics.
The Logistics Manager of EBLog, Marcelo Falcão, reinforces the importance of operational quality standards. “The ISPS Code is an important milestone that reaffirms Eldorado’s excellence in its deliveries and guarantees even greater safety for employees, partners and the entire logistics chain.”
