The Terminal Intermodal Sul (TIS) reached its highest container handling volume in March 2026. More than 4,500 containers were handled during the period, marking a historic milestone for logistics operations in southern Santa Catarina. The performance represents a 41% increase compared to March 2025, reinforcing the consistent growth of its operations.
The result reflects the strength of TIS’s operations, the efficiency of its processes, and its continuous pursuit of innovation. Beyond the numbers, the record highlights the commitment of everyone involved in this journey. This historic performance was only made possible thanks to the dedication of employees, the trust of clients, and the strategic partnership of all stakeholders in the logistics chain.
The Terminal Intermodal Sul (TIS) is a multimodal logistics operator that supports container loading and unloading at the main ports of Santa Catarina, with a particular focus on the Port of Imbituba, a key hub for cargo flow and regional logistics development. The synergy between the terminal and the Port of Imbituba has been crucial in enhancing competitiveness and ensuring greater operational efficiency.
According to the CEO of the Port of Imbituba, Christiano Lopes, the result reinforces the importance of logistics integration in the region. “This significant growth demonstrates the operational capacity of the Port of Imbituba and the strength of the strategic partnerships that support logistics development in Santa Catarina. The record achieved in March 2026 is the result of joint work focused on efficiency, planning, and continuous improvement.”
Similarly, the general manager of TIS, Jeferson Montibeller, emphasized the role of people and multimodal integration in achieving this milestone. “This historic result is a direct outcome of the dedication of our employees, the trust of our clients, and our strong partnership with the Port of Imbituba. We continue to invest in innovation and logistics integration to offer increasingly efficient and competitive solutions to the market.”
TIS’s multimodal configuration — integrating rail, road, and maritime transport — allows it to serve clients with greater agility, safety, and highly competitive costs. This structure not only strengthens the terminal’s operational performance but also directly contributes to regional economic development and the efficiency of the supply chains it serves.
TIS continues to invest in technology, infrastructure, and workforce training to enhance its services and keep pace with growing market demand. The expectation is to maintain a trajectory of sustainable growth, expand its operations, and reinforce its strategic role in Santa Catarina’s logistics landscape.
