Transpetro reported its fourth consecutive year of growth in oil and petroleum product throughput in 2025, driven by operations across its network of 46 terminals and 8,500 kilometers of pipelines. Total volumes transported reached 658 million cubic meters last year, a record for the company and a 1.1% increase from 2024.
The strongest growth came from petroleum products, with throughput rising to 221.3 million cubic meters in 2025 from 215.5 million cubic meters a year earlier, an increase of 2.7%. Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and diesel recorded the largest gains in transported volumes.
The start-up of Petrobras’ Boaventura Energy Complex significantly boosted domestic LPG production. As a result, pipeline flows increased along the system linking Itaboraí, in Rio de Janeiro state, to Transpetro-operated terminals in Guanabara Bay, also lifting volumes handled at the terminals of Paranaguá, Santos and Barra do Riacho. LPG throughput rose 24% year on year in 2025.
Diesel volumes increased 3.6% compared with 2024, driven mainly by the expansion of the consumer market in Brazil’s Center-West, which is largely supplied via the São Paulo–Brasília pipeline (Osbra).
The company also reported a sharp rise of about 18% in ship-to-ship operations, involving cargo transfers between vessels. The increase was concentrated mainly at the terminals of Angra dos Reis and São Sebastião, reflecting growing demand linked to the flow of offshore oil production.
