USDA: Brazil to import 7 million tons of wheat in 2021-22

In 2021/22, Brazil is expected to import 7 million tons of wheat. According to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Brazil purchased 6.395 million tons for the 2020-21 season. Stocks are estimated to be 431 thousand tons at the start of 21-22.
This season’s output is expected to be 7.7 million tonnes, while supply will be 15.131 million tons. Consumption is 12.4 million tons. Thus, the total ending stock is forecasted to be 1.131 million tonnes.
