Vale completes ship loader maintenance in São Luís

On Friday, July 2, Vale announced it has completed the maintenance of ship loader 6 (CN6), at the Ponta da Madeira Maritime Terminal (PDM), in
São Luís (MA), after five months of suspended activities.
“The maintenance of the CN6, which resulted in the replacement of more than 60% of its components, did not impact the PDM’s monthly iron ore shipment schedule,” says the mining company.
The loader stopped operations on January 14 after a fire caused damage to the structure. During the maintenance period, Vale maintained shipping activities through its second ship loader (CN7).
