On October 17th, a smart container terminal in section C of the Beijiang port area went into operation at the Port of Tianjin. This is the world’s first “smart zero-carbon” terminal, and it took 21 months to complete.
Compared to traditional terminals, the “zero-carbon” terminal does not use fossil energy. The electricity supply comes from wind energy and photovoltaic energy, achieving zero energy consumption and zero carbon in the production process.
