Taiwan buys 130,000 t of corn from Brazil in private deals

Taiwanese importers bought around 130,000 tonnes of animal feed corn from Brazil on the 7th in two private deals, said European traders.

The deals added to another 65,000 t of corn bought by Taiwanese group MFIG from Brazil in an international tender on Wednesday, December 7.

The private deals involved corn bought at an estimated premium of 220.25 cents a bushel (c&f), the same price paid in the tender by MFIG, informed the traders.

Trading Mitsui likely sold 65 thousand tonnes for shipment from Brazil between January 25 and February 20, 2023. Another trading company sold 65 thousand tonnes for shipment from Brazil in 20 days between February 15 and March 31.
