Argentina’s egg-product exports rose 28.5% year on year in value in the first four months of 2026, reaching US$10.8 million, the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries said. The figures are based on data from the Undersecretariat for Agricultural and Forestry Production, compiled from INDEC and SENASA.
Export volumes reached 1,312 tonnes, up 8% from the same period last year.
The main destinations were Denmark, Japan, Chile, Austria and North Macedonia. Other markets included Sweden, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Costa Rica, Peru, Colombia, Uruguay, Ecuador and Mexico.
The secretariat also said Argentina filled the entire 333-tonne duty-free quota for whole egg and egg yolk, measured in fresh egg equivalent, just days after the Mercosur-European Union agreement came into force.
The egg products exported in 2026 included whole egg, egg yolk and powdered albumin, which are used by the food industry in products such as mayonnaise, baked goods, puddings, pasta and ice cream.
Datamar data shows that Argentina exported 92 TEUs of egg yolks in the first four months of the year. That represented a 30% increase from the same period a year earlier.
