The city of São Paulo will host the 12th edition of the Brazilian Fertilizer Congress (CBFer) on September 2, one of the most significant events in the country’s fertilizer sector. Organized by the National Fertilizer Diffusion Association (ANDA), the event will take place at the WTC Sheraton in a hybrid format, featuring online streaming, simultaneous translation into English, and interpretation in Brazilian Sign Language (Libras). Since 2011, the congress has brought together leading figures from across the agribusiness production chain, attracting executives, specialists, and thought leaders from Brazil and around the world.

Focusing on strategic themes for the present and future of agricultural production, this year’s edition will feature four thematic panels. The first will address global geopolitics and its effects on the global supply and demand for fertilizers, with analyses of the impacts of policies adopted by U.S. President Donald Trump, China’s responses, and the repositioning of other countries in the international trade of agricultural inputs. Discussions will also cover changes in global supply chains and fertilizer prices.

The second panel will examine the Brazilian grain harvest, linking the geopolitical context to growth prospects for the national agribusiness sector. Experts will assess the challenges and opportunities for increasing agricultural output, a key component of global food security.

The third panel will focus on regenerative agriculture, highlighting the strategic role of fertilizers in restoring degraded land. The discussion will highlight how sustainable practices and the proper use of inputs can preserve soil, enhance crop performance, and contribute to the conservation of forest areas.

Closing the agenda, the fourth panel will explore the regulatory landscape and technological innovations in the fertilizer industry. New tools and bio-inputs that enhance fertilization efficiency will be presented, along with analyses of the regulatory environment necessary to promote the adoption of these technologies in the field. With a program that addresses the sector’s main challenges and advancements, CBFer 2025 is set to reinforce its role as a key platform for dialogue on the future of agriculture and the role of fertilizers in achieving more efficient and sustainable production.
