Argentina’s soybean harvest has begun, with 2.4% of the area already harvested, and crop conditions remain favorable, with 86.3% of fields rated from normal to excellent.
According to the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange, soil moisture is also supporting crop performance, with 88.1% of planted areas classified as having adequate or optimal conditions. That continues to underpin the production forecast of 48.5 million tonnes.
For corn, harvesting is advancing more steadily, reaching 21.6% of the planted area. Average yields are running at 85.5 bags per hectare, keeping the production estimate at 57 million tonnes.
