Brazil Gains Market Access to Export Fishmeal and Fish Oil to Bolivia

The Brazilian government announced on Friday (Feb. 21) that Bolivia’s health authorities have approved the International Sanitary Certificate proposed by Brazil, clearing the way for exports of fishmeal and fish oil to the neighboring country.
With this new market opening, Brazil’s agribusiness sector has secured its 28th trade expansion in 2025, bringing the total to 328 new export opportunities since the beginning of 2023, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In 2024, Brazilian exports to Bolivia totaled approximately $399 million, with key shipments including beverages, forestry products, and animal feed.
