Brazilian corn exports keep intense despite low liquidity

Brazilian corn buyers are away from the spot market, using stocks and waiting for better opportunities to trade. Given this, researchers of Cepea (Applied Economics Research Center) indicate that internal liquidity remains low.
On the other hand, exports continue at an intense pace, overcoming the number of shipments last year – and new ships are expected to set sail in the coming weeks. Data from Secex indicate that in the first 12 working days of December, 3.38 million tonnes of corn were shipped, representing 99% of exports in December 2021 (from 3. 41 million tonnes).

For December, Anec (National Association of cereal exporters) estimates that 6.58 million tonnes of corn will leave Brazilian ports.
