Brazil’s beef exports maintained a strong pace in November, marking one of the best months on record and consolidating 2025 as a year of exceptional expansion for the sector.
In November, Brazil shipped 356,000 tonnes of beef, an increase of 36.5% compared to the 261,000 tonnes exported in the same month of 2024. Export revenue rose even more sharply, advancing 51.9% from US$1.23 billion to US$1.87 billion. The data is from the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade, and Services (MDIC), compiled by the Brazilian Beef Exporters Association (ABIEC).
Of the total, 318,000 tonnes were fresh beef, reinforcing the strength of Brazil’s primary product in international markets. In October, shipments reached 357,000 tonnes, the highest monthly volume since the historical series began in 1997.
China Leads and Year-to-Date Volume Surpasses 2024
China remained the leading destination for Brazilian beef, receiving 178,800 tonnes and US$974.6 million in revenue, more than half of the month’s total. Other leading destinations included the European Union, with 15,500 tonnes (US$131.2 million); Russia, with 20,300 tonnes and US$86.6 million; Chile, with 14,800 tonnes; and the United States, with 12,600 tonnes.
From January to November 2025, Brazil exported 3.15 million tonnes of beef, an 18.3% increase compared to the same period in 2024, when shipments totaled 2.66 million tonnes. Revenue reached US$16.18 billion, an increase of 37.5%. The partial volume already exceeds the 2.89 million tonnes exported for the entire year 2024.
Strong Growth and Market Diversification
China also leads the year-to-date results, with 1.52 million tonnes and US$8.08 billion, representing nearly half of total export revenue. The United States follows with 244,500 tonnes and US$1.46 billion, ahead of the European Union, Chile, Mexico, and Russia.
The year has been marked by intense and diversified growth across destinations, with notable increases in imports from Indonesia, Palestine, Canada, Mexico, China, and Russia. Exports to the United States have also performed well, totaling 244,500 tonnes between January and November, up 109% from the same period in 2024. Revenue reached US$1.464 billion, an increase of 53.3%.
