China and the US maintain “normal communication” on trade and economy, says Chinese ministry

China and the United States are maintaining “normal communication” on the trade and economic fronts, said Gao Feng, a spokesman for China’s Ministry of Commerce, on Thursday.

Gao made the comments at a press conference after being asked if there was any new development in trade relations between the two countries.
