China announced on Monday (29) tariff adjustments for certain products starting next year, including cuts in import duties on commodities derived from natural resources, such as recycled black powder used in lithium-ion batteries.
The country will also reduce tariffs on medical products, including artificial blood vessels and diagnostic kits for certain infectious diseases, according to a statement from the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council.
For 925 products, the provisional import tariff rates applied will be lower than the most-favored-nation rates applied to all member countries of the World Trade Organization, the statement added.
