Brazil recorded a 27.7% drop in coffee exports in April compared to the same period in 2024. However, data released on Monday (May 12) by Cecafé (Brazilian Coffee Exporters Council) shows that despite the decline in volume, foreign exchange revenue reached USD 1.3 billion (approximately BRL 7.3 billion at the current exchange rate), representing a surge of nearly 42%.
Looking at the accumulated results for the 2024/2025 crop year, shipments over the ten months indicate a record performance. Export volume grew by 1.5%, while revenue soared by 56.3% compared to the previous season. Comparing just the first four months of 2025, exports dropped by 15.5%, but revenue jumped by 51%.

Arabica coffee was the most exported variety during the year’s first quarter. Despite an 11% decrease in imports, the United States remained the top trading partner for Brazilian coffee beans. For 2025, if weather conditions align with forecasts, the upcoming harvest has significant potential.
