On October 19th, Companhia Docas do Ceará (CDC) CEO Mayhara Chaves signed a Memorandum of Understanding that aims to unite efforts to offer better conditions to Argentine companies interested in moving cargo through the CDC.
The small ceremony took place at Palácio da Abolição together with the Argentine ambassador, Daniel Scioli; the head of the Economic and Commercial Section of Argentina, Rodrigo Bardoneschi; and the deputy consul in Recife, Patrício Kingsland. Rômulo Alexandre Soares, from the Brazil Argentina Chamber in Ceará, also participated.
The term of validity is two years from the date of signature and may be extended for an equal period by means of an addendum in the case of a common agreement between the parties. “We are available to negotiate as well and are very happy with the signing of this memorandum. May it be very fruitful”, signaled Chaves.
Scioli highlighted that the Port of Fortaleza is the second in the country to sign this important document. The other port was the Suape Port Container Terminal, in Pernambuco.
At the Port of Fortaleza earlier this month, Chaves received the delegation of the Embassy of Argentina, led by Rodrigo Bardoneschi.
