Brazil exported 3,076 tonnes of eggs — including fresh and processed products — in January, up 30.9% from the 2,357 tonnes shipped in the same month of 2025, according to industry association ABPA.
Export revenues totaled $6.41 million in the first month of the year, a 53.1% increase compared with $4.19 million in January last year.
The United Arab Emirates remained the leading destination, increasing purchases by 34%, from 783 tonnes in January 2025 to 1,051 tonnes in January 2026. Japan posted the strongest growth, with volumes surging 267%, from 205 tonnes to 752 tonnes. Shipments to Chile rose 184%, from 130 tonnes to 371 tonnes, while exports to Mexico climbed 65%, from 172 tonnes to 284 tonnes.
According to Datamar data, Brazil exported the equivalent of 2,486 TEUs of eggs in 2025, marking a striking 622% year-on-year increase.

“The figures show a clear recovery in key destinations. We are seeing a slowdown in markets that displayed atypical behavior last year, such as the United States, while Asia, the Middle East and Latin America have regained market share,” said Ricardo Santin, president of ABPA. “The strong growth in Japan, the UAE, Chile and Mexico points to greater diversification and lower concentration, bringing more stability to the sector. It reflects a consistent consolidation of Brazil’s export culture, with a focus on higher-value markets and more predictable contracts.”
