Fabrizio Pierdomenico: Brazil’s new Secretary of Ports
Jan, 12, 2023 Posted by Gabriel MalheirosWeek 202302
The Minister of Ports and Airports, Márcio França, revealed on Wednesday (Jan 11) two more names chosen to compose his Ministry: Fabrizio Pierdomenico, who will be in charge of the country’s Secretariat of Ports, and Roberto Gusmão, the Ministry’s Executive Secretary.
Pierdomenico has already served as a director of the Santos Port Authority in the first terms of the Luiza Inácio Lula da Silva administration. Also, in previous Workers Party governments, he was Secretary of Planning and Port Development.
França pondered, however, that these nominations are not yet official. “He is the person we’re favoring,” said França.
Roberto Gusmão, an engineer by education, was Recife’s infrastructure secretary during the PSB’s tenure in Pernambuco. In February 2021, he took over as president of the Suape Port Complex.
