Operations coordinated by the Federal Police, with support from the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa), are investigating possible fraud in the commercialization of soybeans and soybean meal intended for export.
The actions carried out this Tuesday (17) aim to curb product adulteration, focusing on cargoes that would leave the country through the Port of Paranaguá and other strategic points.

The operations were supported by the Vigifronteiras Program and the Plant Origin Product Inspection Service in Paraná (SIPOV/PR). Ministry teams were involved in inspection activities and assisted in executing search and seizure warrants for documents and electronic equipment.
A total of 15 court orders were executed in the municipalities of Cuiabá (MT), Toledo (PR), São José dos Pinhais (PR), Paranaguá (PR), Pontal do Paraná (PR), and Morretes (PR). One individual was caught in the act and arrested during the operation.
Mapa’s involvement is part of a broader set of measures to combat irregularities in the sector. In April, 6.8 million kilos of soybeans and soybean meal were seized under suspicion of adulteration.
In June, a new joint inspection at the Port of Paranaguá found 39.2 thousand kilos of soybean meal contaminated with sand, sawdust, and mold.
These actions reinforce the federal government’s commitment to the integrity of agricultural products intended for export, aiming to ensure food safety, plant health, and Brazil’s credibility in international trade.
The investigation continues with the analysis of the seized material, and further measures may be taken based on the developments.
