PetroReconcavo announced this Monday (18) that it has signed a contract with Dislub for the lease of storage space and the provision of crude oil handling services at the Port of Pecém, located in São Gonçalo do Amarante (CE).

The 13-year contract provides for the construction by Dislub of a tank storage facility dedicated to PetroReconcavo, with a minimum contracted capacity of 250,000 barrels per month, to be completed within 36 months from the date of this agreement.

Subject to the fulfillment of certain precedent conditions, the project also includes the implementation of a handling infrastructure consisting of transfer skids to be installed in the port’s back area.

These will be connected to the liquid bulk handling pier at the Port of Pecém and linked via pipelines to be installed by Dislub within an estimated period of up to 12 months from the date of the contract signing.

PetroReconcavo will pay a price per cubic meter of oil actually handled at the terminal, with an annual adjustment based on the IPCA inflation index. Regardless of the volume handled, the company will also pay for the contracted storage capacity.

“This contract represents the realization of one of the strategic pillars of the company’s resilience program, which aims to establish new routes and logistical alternatives for the transportation and marketing of the oil it produces in Rio Grande do Norte,” the company said in a statement.

With the signing of this contract, Dislub will initiate the necessary permitting process for the construction and operation of the terminal at the Port of Pecém, enabling the operation of the new outflow route.

The company also stated that it will, in due course, contract additional services, such as road transport, for moving the oil from its operations to the Port of Pecém.
