Brazil’s federal port authority Codeba will present the strategies and investments planned to strengthen the Port of Itajaí during a seminar to be held at the authority’s headquarters.
The event will bring together port workers, public officials and representatives of the company set to take over terminal operations during the federalisation process.
As part of the programme, new equipment will be delivered to the Port Guard, a transitional management agreement will be signed, and an institutional panel will be held. The presentations will be led by Codeba president Antonio Gobbo and the Port of Itajaí superintendent, João Paulo, focusing on revenue figures and cargo throughput at the ports of Itajaí and Bahia.
The agenda also includes a presentation by federal deputy Ana Paula Lima on the Brazilian Port System Bill and the impacts of the new legal framework on port–city relations. National Secretary of Ports Alex Ávila will address record cargo and container throughput at ports in southern Brazil, as well as outline the main projects planned by the Ministry of Ports and Airports for the first half of 2026.
