In its first month under the administration of the Santos Port Authority (APS), the Port of Itajaí recorded a financial result of R$18 million, marking a significant 138% increase compared to January of the previous year, when revenue was R$7.67 million.
“This result reflects APS’s commitment to good public administration and the strengthening of the Port of Itajaí, benefiting port operators and workers throughout the region, especially in Itajaí and Navegantes,” stated the president of the Port Authority, Pomini.
This positive outcome was achieved through the provision of port services and the implementation of long-overdue rate adjustments. This initiative recovered R$ 2.2 million for the port’s finances. “We can achieve much more,” concluded André Bonini, Superintendent of the Port of Itajaí.
