In January, the Port of Suape recorded overall cargo throughput growth of 38.6% year over year. A total of 2,193,515 tonnes were handled.

The number of vessel calls also posted strong growth, with 135 ships calling at the port, up 26.2% from January 2025.

A national leader in liquid bulk handling among public ports, Suape registered a 57.7% increase in this segment. Volumes of crude oil and petroleum products reached 1,403,501 tonnes, accounting for 64% of all cargo handled during the month.

Container operations also maintained an upward trajectory, with 4% growth in January. Tecon Suape handled 54,883 TEUs during the period. In the year-to-date of 2025, growth reached 7.54%, consolidating Suape’s leadership in cabotage among Brazilian public ports.

The diversification of Brazil’s sixth-busiest public port is also confirmed by the expansion of solid bulk operations (up 65.4%)—such as clinker, coke, and wheat—and breakbulk cargo (up 46%), including steel coils, wind energy equipment, bagged sugar, and rebar.
