See below the ranking of Brazilian and Plate ports that most exported and imported containers from January to December 2022 with reference to the same period in 2021. The data is from DataLiner, Datamar’s business intelligence tool:

Brazil

The Port of Santos was the one that exported containerized cargo the most in 2022, 1,143,273 TEUs, a volume slightly higher than in 2021. The Port of Paranaguá, in turn, exported a volume 3.27% higher than the same period a year before. See more below:

As for containerized imports, Santos also leads the ranking with 1,071,878 TEUs, a volume 0.27% lower than in 2021. Navegantes, the second in the ranking, imported a volume 1.61% higher. See the other ports below:

Plate (Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay)

In the region that includes Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay, the leadership in exports in 2022 was the Port of Buenos Aires, with 364,513 TEUs, a volume 6.37% lower than in 2021. The Port of Montevideo, second in the ranking, grew 2.02% in the same period. See more information in the table below:

Buenos Aires also leads in container imports, with 561,122 TEUs, a volume 2.8% higher than in 2021. Montevideo ranked second, growing 4.74% over the same period.
