The Santos Port Authority (APS) has initiated a donation drive on Tuesday, May 7th, in response to the urgent call from the Federal Government, facilitated by the Ministry of Ports and Airports, to aid victims affected by the floods in Rio Grande do Sul. The initiative aims to gather essential supplies and goods to be dispatched to the affected regions.
A comprehensive list outlining the primary necessities required by families impacted by the climate-related disaster has been provided:
– Potable water
– Mattresses
– Pillows
– Bed linen
– Blankets
– Towels
– Cleaning materials
– Personal hygiene items
– Non-perishable food items
In response, a dedicated donation log area has been established at the APS, accessible via the entrance of its Training Center, adjacent to the Port Museum, located on Avenida Conselheiro Rodrigues Alves. Motorists are instructed to enter through a designated door, unload donations, and exit through another door to expedite the donation process.
Additionally, terminals, unions, and companies operating within the Port of Santos are poised to contribute through a structured system for dispatching bulk donations, organized collaboratively by APS in partnership with the operators. Further updates regarding this coordinated effort will be disclosed in the forthcoming days.
