After almost two years of preparation, the Port of São Francisco do Sul will receive the ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) certificates, both in the latest version: 2015.
The recommendation was announced on the 24th by the company QMS during the external audit closing meeting.
The recognition makes it possible for São Francisco do Sul to join the select group of certified public ports.
The ISO 9001 standard is a set of internal guidelines seeking to ensure quality management and efficiently meet customer demands.
ISO 14001 prescribes the requirements of an environmental management system, emphasizing a company’s commitment to environmental management and prevention.
The final certification shall be issued within 60 days after the reports are validated by a certification commission in Brazil and, later, in Australia, where the headquarters of the QMS company is located.
