Armando Monteiro Bisneto, CEO of the Suape Industrial and Port Complex, held meetings in Brasília this Tuesday (May 6) with Silvio Costa Filho, Minister of Ports and Airports, and José Múcio Monteiro, Minister of Defense. He also met with Senator Fernando Dueire (MDB–PE). The agenda focused on securing support for key infrastructure projects at the port complex, particularly dredging the internal channel and the fourth and final phase of the protective breakwater reinforcement for the liquid bulk piers. These projects are part of Brazil’s “New PAC“ investment program.
“It is essential to stay aligned with Minister Silvio Costa Filho and his team to maintain the pace of development at our port, which is being restructured to attract more operations and new ventures, generating income and job opportunities—all with a focus on sustainability and energy transition,“ said Monteiro Bisneto.

He added that dredging the internal channel and strengthening the breakwater are critical for enabling Suape to accommodate new national and international shipping routes and allow large vessels to dock safely at full capacity.
The projects are deemed strategic, as Suape is Brazil’s sixth-largest public port in capital flow. In 2024 alone, it has already handled around R$ 24 million.
