Vietnam has cleared two more Brazilian beef plants to export to the country, approving facilities operated by Naturafrig in Pirapozinho, São Paulo, and Sulbeef in Aparecida do Taboado, Mato Grosso do Sul.
Brazil now has 12 plants authorized to ship beef cuts to the Asian market, spread across five business groups. The list includes four JBS plants, two MBRF units, four Minerva facilities and the two newly approved plants. Vietnam opened its market to Brazilian beef in March 2025.
Nearly 100 plants across Brazil have submitted the documents required to seek approval and are still awaiting clearance from Vietnamese authorities. The market has potential demand of 300,000 tonnes a year.
Brazil also expanded the number of poultry plants authorized to export to South Korea. The list increased to 54 meatpacking plants from 45. The number of cold storage units cleared to export to the South Korean market also rose, to 10 from nine.
