Antaq announces dates for Santos and Paranaguá port auctions

Brazil’s National Waterway Transportation Agency (Antaq) has scheduled the auctions of Santos and Paranaguá port areas for August 9, 2019. According to the agency’s official gazette (DOU), the licitation documents are available on the Antaq and the Ministry of Infrastructure websites.
The government plans to auction the PAR01, STS13-A and STS20 areas. The PAR01 area is in the Port of Paranaguá and it handles general cargo, especially paper and pulp. STS20 in the Port of Santos handles solid bulk, especially salt and fertilizer. STS13-A, also a liquid bulk area in Santos specializes in handling fuels.
Last Friday the government announced the winners of the auctions of six liquid bulk terminals, five in the Port of Belém and one in the Port of Vila do Conde.
