China has authorized seven Brazilian establishments to export frozen bovine fetal serum to the country, announced Roberto Perosa, the Secretary of Commerce and International Relations at the Ministry of Agriculture.
The Ministry was informed of the new batch of Chinese authorizations on Monday morning. The authorization for these companies is granted by the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC), the country’s health authority.
According to a document published by GACC, the authorized companies include a JBS unit in Campo Grande (SIF 4400); River City Biotechnology in Goiânia (SIF 3968); Sorobras Biotechnology in Goiânia (SIF 2260); Soroquality Biotechnology in Goiânia (SIF 1636); Bio Nutrients do Brasil in Taciba (SP, SIF 3680); Biomin Biotechnology in Divinópolis (MG, SIF 3449); and Cripion Biotechnology in Andradina (SP, SIF 4278).
Perosa attributes China’s new approval of Brazilian establishments to the “good relationship” established by the government of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva with the Chinese government. “We see significant progress in trade relations with the authorization of various establishments for the export of both beef and bovine by-products to that country,” said the secretary in a statement. Perosa emphasized that the process is coordinated jointly between the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
