Responsible for operating five border dry ports and a significant portion of Brazil’s import and export road flow with Mercosur, Multilog recorded its highest monthly figure of the year in May, with 37,839 vehicle movements—a 7% increase compared to the previous month and a 22% rise compared to May 2024.
The Dionísio Cerqueira Dry Port posted its best monthly performance of the year and the unit’s record, with 2,427 vehicle exits in May, a 6% increase over April. Compared to May 2024, the increase was 36%. The new infrastructure built and inaugurated by Multilog in December 2023, along with numerous improvements made to the customs unit, contributed to the results. The figures were also boosted by the state regulation (TTD – Differentiated Tax Treatment), which encourages the entry of goods through Dionísio Cerqueira.
Three other units also recorded their highest vehicle entries of the year. Jaguarão (RS) Dry Port saw 2,958 vehicle exits in May, a 13% increase compared to the previous month and 25% above the same month last year. The Uruguaiana unit, also in Rio Grande do Sul, handled 14,090 trucks, up 11% from April and 33% higher than May last year. At the Foz do Iguaçu Dry Port (PR), the largest in Latin America, the increase was 4% for the month, with 17,476 truck exits—14% higher than in May 2024.
Meanwhile, the Santana do Livramento (RS) Dry Port handled 888 trucks in May, a slight 2% drop compared to April and 13% down from May 2024.
“In May, we achieved the best results of the year, which shows that our ongoing investments in operations have allowed us to offer more and better services to our clients, as well as contribute to the growth of foreign trade among Mercosur countries,” concludes Francisco Damilano, Multilog’s General Manager of Border Operations.
