Week 202607

Brazil’s Ministry of Ports and Airports on Friday (6) opened a public consultation on the Master Plan for the Paranaguá and Antonina Port Complex, in the southern state of Paraná. Conducted entirely online through the federal government’s Brasil Participativo platform, the consultation will remain open until March 7.

The Master Plan is a strategic planning instrument for the port sector, prepared individually for each port complex in the country. Its purpose is to guide short-, medium- and long-term actions and investments, covering port facilities, port–city relations and access infrastructure to the port complexes, in line with sector legislation. Civil society, public administration bodies and legal entities are invited to contribute, with the aim of improving public policy.

Social Participation

The public consultation is a social participation mechanism that allows citizens, companies, representative entities, public authorities and other stakeholders to review the Master Plan’s content and submit contributions, suggestions and comments, helping to refine the document before the final version is consolidated.

Contributions, which must be properly identified and supported, should be submitted via the electronic form available on the Brasil Participativo platform. The website also provides access to the preliminary version of the Master Plan for the Paranaguá and Antonina Port Complex, along with its appendix.

Social participation is considered essential to improving the Master Plan and strengthening integrated, efficient and sustainable port planning.
